Alan is a lifetime rural resident of southern Iowa farm county. He spent four years earning an Ag degree at Iowa State University and four years traveling the world as active duty in the US Navy, Viet Nam era; returning to own and operate a grain and livestock farm near Albia. Later, he spent 24 years in active Navy Reserve, retiring 2007 as Operations Specialist Master Chief Petty Officer. In 1980, Alan earned his real estate license and began managing and selling ag land throughout Iowa, Nebraska and later for one year in central California. Alan and wife Susan moved their young family of five children back to the home farm in Albia in 1989 where he opened a branch office for Hawkeye Farm Mgmt & Real Estate. Alan learned the joy of hunting from his father who was a passionate outdoorsman. Developing his own farms into top quality whitetail and turkey habitat has become an important pursuit in recent years. He is proud to have his sons Nate & Ryan join in developing and enjoying the farms and in building their ag real estate business. One of Alan's greatest enjoyments is introducing families to the beauty of Southern Iowa and Northern Missouri. Alan states: "We are truly blessed to work in this business and in this area!"
Ryan grew up in southern Iowa on a farm near Albia, raising hogs and cattle. He was only gone from Albia for college and Air National Guard duty over the years. As a family with 4 sons and 1 daughter, our father took us hunting, be it for squirrel, whitetail deer or turkey. He instilled in us a love for the land and the outdoors. In 2003 Ryan became a member of the Iowa Air National Guard and in 2012 he graduated from Iowa State University with a major in Business Management. In 2013, Ryan became a licensed Realtor® joining his father, Alan, and brother, Nate, at Hawkeye Farm Mgmt & Real Estate.
Ryan’s great upbringing along with his membership in the Iowa National Air guard have instilled in him a sense of pride in what he does; he lives by the philosophy of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all he does. He is passionate about quality land practices; whether for hunting or farming. Knowing that farms need the proper attention to grow quality crops or quality wildlife. Since starting his career at Hawkeye Farm Mgmt & Real Estate, he now manages approximately 1500 acres for 3 clients; negotiating new leases, comparing rents with CRP rates and general maintenance. In April 2015 Ryan married his wife Brittney. They share their home in Albia with their two children Berkley and Harrison and two dogs Allie and Zoey.
Ryan is co-owner of Hawkeye Farm Mgmt & Real Estate along with his father Alan and brother Nate. Ryan has been a member of the Iowa Air National Guard since 2003. He is a member of the Southeast Iowa Board of Realtors, a board member of the Albia Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Monroe County Hospital Foundation Board. He not only believes strongly in quality land practices and care of the land but in care of the community he lives in. Contact Ryan at (641) 777-2955 or email him at ryan@uciowa.com.

Dan was born and raised in the suburbs just outside Chicago and developed a passion for the outdoors early on in his life. Being from the suburbs, Dan did not have as much access to land near him and came to truly value the time he and his father could get away for a weekend and go hunting. As he got older his obsession with hunting and being in the outdoors continued to grow. Dan was fortunate as he had access to great properties across Illinois through mutual friends and generous people.
After attending Coe College for 4 years, where he also played collegiate baseball, Dan graduated in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Dan began working in downtown Chicago and after a short period of time working in the city environment, he knew that lifestyle wasn’t for him and wanted to return to Iowa.
Shortly after moving back to Iowa, he found that he only wanted to work in an industry that he could combine his work ethic with his passion for the outdoors. He got his real estate license and found United County Hawkeye Farm Mgmt & Real Estate to be the place to move forward with like-minded, good people.
Currently residing in Iowa City, Dan enjoys hunting the local public lands, fishing, hiking, golfing, and is a fanatic for Chicago sports. He is looking to forward sharing his knowledge about land and working hard to meet all your buying and selling needs.
