Luke Nissen is a fifth generation Iowa native who was raised on a Family Century Farm in Western Iowa. There he learned the value of hard work, land stewardship, and trust built on a firm handshake. Luke also learned how to diligently care for alfalfa, cattle, corn, hogs, and soybeans from working directly with his grandfather, father, and brother on the farm. He currently remains actively involved in his family’s row crop operation to this day, giving him a hands-on perspective with agriculture production that sets him apart in Iowa Land Real Estate.

Luke earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Northwest Missouri State University and obtained his real estate license in 2012 during his sophomore year of college. Since then, he has built his career exclusively around Iowa land, helping clients buy and sell farmland, hunting land, and recreational properties with integrity and local expertise. Luke has been licensed in Iowa with United Country Real Estate since 2016.

An avid outdoorsman, Luke grew up pheasant hunting the rolling hills of Western Iowa and started bowhunting Iowa Whitetails at just twelve years old. Ever since, Luke has enjoyed the challenges and pursuit of hunting mature deer, managing farms, and making various habitat improvements to benefit all wildlife species. Before entering real estate full time, he worked as a videographer and editor for the popular television hunting series Midwest Whitetail with Bill Winke, combining his love of the outdoors with storytelling and media.

In 2025, Luke earned the prestigious Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designation through the REALTORS® Land Institute, placing him among the nation’s most respected land professionals. With over $100 million in closed sales volume to date, Luke is known for delivering results through honest, client-first service. With over a decade worth of real estate experience, Luke has gained the skills to navigate, and problem solve any situation that might occur during a land transaction. He is also well seasoned in conducting farmland auctions and brings an in-depth understanding of what it takes to properly market and successfully sell farmland across Iowa.
